Solomon Kiplagat

Solomon Kiplagat is the Managing Director of Upstream Limited in Uganda. With over 30 years of experience in the logistics industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Prior to joining Upstream Limited in 2015, he held various positions including Country Manager at Mitchell Cotts South Sudan and Cargo Manager at Siginon Freight Kenya Limited.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and a Graduate Diploma in Transport and Logistics Management, which has equipped him with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the logistics field. In his role as Managing Director, he is in charge of Upstream Limited in Uganda, as well as Mitchell Cotts Rwanda and South Sudan.

Solomon’s goals and aspirations for the company are to become a market leader in logistics service provision and to ensure profitability for the shareholders. His dedication to his work has already resulted in impressive achievements, including being awarded by URA Customs as the most efficient customs declarant in 2018 and receiving Upstream Limited’s AEO certification in 2022 as a top performer.
