This role focuses on engaging with clients holistically\u2014providing guidance, support, and solutions to help them manage their financial obligations. Responsibilities \u2022 Analyse bad debts based on aging and prescribe appropriate actions to retrieve all arrears from non \u2013 performing clients \u2022Demand and follow up on bad debts through review of files and discussions with debtors on repayment plans. \u2022Aggressively follow up on non-performing loans and undertake field visits for recovery activities \u2022Relationship management with clients on handling customers with bad debts through visits calls and emails. \u2022Handling multiple client debt portfolios with diverse products; experiences and challenges. \u2022Embark on an exercise to recover accounts that have been written off. \u2022Establish contacts and relationships with relevant bodies that will assist in the collection process. \u2022Repossession and Disposal of Assets \u2013 The recovery officer will liaise with auctioneers and investigators to locate seize and dispose of assets of loans that have defaulted, within the law and with all notifications served upon the customer, in time. \u2022Undertake any additional duties that may be prescribed by the immediate supervisor Ideal Candidate Minimum Qualifications: \u2022Diploma in Co-operative Management\/ banking\/ finance\/business or Credit Management \u2022One-year experience in debt collection field. \u2022Prior interaction with a debt collection system. \u2022Possess strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation and analytical skills, honesty and integrity. \u2022Should be a self-motivated team player who enjoys negotiating with customers for win-win situations. \u2022Must have proven ability to develop relationships with agencies necessary to make recovery work successfully. \u2022Must have the ability to work with strict deadlines \u2022Computer skills required.
